- Email Forwarding Server by Chimera is a POP3 to SMTP gateway. It pulls mail from a single mail account at your ISP and distributes the messages to users on a local mail server. EFS does require you to have a domain name. In other words, one connection to your ISP with just one pop mailbox will support a mail server on your internal network for your whole company.
- IGetMail by Lockstep will download your domain's mail from your ISP and pass it along to your local mail server.
- MailProxy by Rockford Systems collects mail without a permanent connection being required.
- Mail2SMTP is a POP3 to SMTP gateway, allowing collection of your organization's mail from one ISP mailbox/connection.

- NotifyMail by Scott Gruby. NotifyMail is an application that works with various servers to notify e-mail applications that mail has arrived at that user's account. Their e-mail program can then retrieve e-mail messages as they arrive, rather than having to poll the server every n minutes to see if new mail has arrived.
